COVID-19 Statement

It is an uncertain time for us all, as businesses and as people. With the spread of Covid-19 throughout the UK, it is important to remain informed about the nature of the disease, how it is continuing to affect the nation as a whole and what we can do to tackle the risk of infection.

At this point in time, we are, like many, closely following the guidelines set in place by both the Government and the NHS and using these instructions in the day-to-day operation of our clinic. At The Menopause Clinic, nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of our patients and our staff. So it’s for this reason that we’ve begun to implement some extra-precautionary measures to complement our existing practices and to help everyone stay as safe as they can during this difficult period.

As of now, The Menopause Clinic is continuing to operate as normal as possible and will do so unless we find it necessary to bring a halt to our practices or are instructed otherwise. When visiting us we urge you to take note of the following safety measures, all of which have been put together in accordance with current NHS and Government advice:

SOCIAL DISTANCING: Although we will be offering treatments as normal, we will be honouring the practice of social distancing as a way of limiting contact between the individuals who visit our clinic. This means that, for the time being, we will be ensuring that there is only ever one patient to a room at any one time. When visiting the clinic, patients will only come into contact with the practitioner carrying out their treatment. We are also nothing if not responsive to the changing needs of our patients. At this point in time, we will be offering consultations online, via Skype or over the phone. We will use this service to answer any queries you may have and to perform any necessary check-ups.

HYGIENE: Although we have always abided by the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness at Face Medical, we will be taking extra steps to ensure that this remains the case at this uncertain time. On arrival with us, you will be asked to wash or sanitise your hands before being taken to a sterile treatment room. As an additional measure, we will also be making sure that surfaces or objects that are at a higher risk of coming into contact with Covid-19 (door handles, seats, work surfaces and toilets) are given special attention when cleaning and will not be greeting you in the form of a handshake. A polite elbow tap will be offered instead.

TAKING PRECAUTIONS: In line with official advice and our unerring commitment to the safety of our staff and patients, we will be asking any member of our team to self-isolate should they display any of the symptoms of Covid-19. This also applies to patients who have forthcoming appointments. If you are self-isolating or have become symptomatic, we urge you to contact us so that we can reschedule your treatment. Should you still choose to visit us when presenting with these symptoms, we reserve the right to refuse treatment. This is for everyone’s safety and is part of our duty of care to all of our staff and patients.

PAYMENT: When making a payment, we also strongly recommend that you use your card. This is to reduce the chance of germs being spread through the handling of money.

By following these stringent safety measures, it is hoped that we can do our bit to prevent the spread of infection and reduce the risk of contamination. At this point in time, we will be doing what we can to continue to deliver high-quality treatments to all of our patients and will be asking each and every one of you to contribute to our efforts to slow down the progress of the virus.

At The Menopause Clinic, we always work in the best interests of our staff, patients and, in this case, the nation as a whole. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are in need of further advice. We will continue to keep you informed and up-to-date about where we stand in relation to Covid-19 and hope to see you at the clinic very soon.
